COLLABORATIONS ARE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF CONSERVATION, WE ALL NEED TO WORK TOGETHER; UTILISING OUR STRENGTHS AND PASSIONS IN AN EFFORT TO PROTECT THE FUTURES OF SHARKS AND OURSELVES - ITS A CHALLENGE BUT ITS ALSO AN ADVENTURE THAT NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE.

Phil "We have been lucky enough to work with some incredible people on our journey so far with Fin Fighters, and we are always on the look out for other organisations and awesome individuals to collaborate with - its what makes the work we do so exciting!"

Fin Fighters are searching for creative and different answers to the problems facing marine conservation and sharks. One of our biggest campaigns focuses on connecting people around the world who are working in these fields and inspiring others to join the movement. We hope everyone will want to become a part of something that has the capacity to change the world for the better; a network of people from different cultures and backgrounds using exciting and unique techniques to protect sharks and our oceans.

BECOME A COLLABORATOR!

If you are working on marine and/or shark conservation in anyway anywhere in the world as part of an organisation, or as an enthusiast, make films, dive, lead school talks, paint, photograph, post petitions, conduct research, dance, debate, inspire.......even create shark pancakes, we would love to hear from you! Anyone can join the movement and be a part of building something incredible. Through sharing our successes and learning together we WILL protect sharks and the oceans and inspire #oceanoptimism around the globe....We look forward to hearing from you!

FRIENDS FOR SHARKS

In June 2013 we joined The founder of The Black Fish Wietse van der Werf and volunteers from the organisation in Morocco where we collaborated on an investigation into the shark fishery in that country. This is an ongoing investigation and we hope to continue with further work on this issue in Morocco over the next few years. See our campaign page for further information. The Black Fish

THE BLACK FISH is an International organisation that is working to end illegal overfishing. We have had the pleasure to work with the Black Fish on a number of occasions and have hosted lectures and fundraisers together. We collaborate not only in these terms but also on training and campaigns; In 2013 we joined members of the organisation and volunteers out at sea for a week, where we learnt new skills for conservation - in this case how to sail and navigate.

LUSH COSMETICS have been huge supporters of our work from the very beginning, they have not only generously donated to our charity; which has enabled us to set ourselves up and continue our campaigns, they have also supported our efforts by featuring Fin Fighters on their website in their magazine and on their charity pot lids. (Pick one up and your purchase helps support charities and organisations focusing on all kinds of interesting issues!)

We have a long history of collaborating with Lush on our campaigns and our founder Lou has even worked with the company to train the staff on how to run a campaign within the shop environment. We hope to continue our close relationships with many of the shops who support our campaigns and host our events, and we have loads of exciting actions and charity events lined up for the next few years. Watch out for us at a shop near you. https://www.lush.co.uk

This independent film takes a fresh and exciting approach to understanding the Great White Shark, capturing a unique look at the relationships between the sharks and inhabitants of False Bay South Africa.

We love supporting films such as Great White Shark Legend that challenge peoples perceptions of sharks and have a positive and educational theme. Featuring interviews with some of the wolds top White shark specialists this is one not to miss! Check out their website for more information and to see a list of film showings. http://www.greatwhitesharklegend.com

Great White Shark Legend

We strongly believe that film making and creative arts play a vital role in conservation and as such we are joining forces with fantastic Sheffield based filmmakers Ricardo and Rachel Lacombe; the creators of an awesome documentary film titled Great White Shark Legend.

Friends for Sharks are undertaking a World Tour throughout 2015, during which they will visit a number of countries and give educational and inspiring talks about their experiences and work with sharks, the threats they face and marine conservation issues. They are providing events for a wide variety of audiences in each country they visit including aquariums, schools, universities, conservation organisations, scuba diving centres and community groups. Fin Fighters are very excited to disclose that we will be working with Friends for sharks on many different projects over the course of 2015 and beyond.
